PreS-Gr 2—-Buzz and his pet fly are back for their eighth adventure (Scholastic, 2009) by Tedd Arnold. While playing hide-and-seek, Fly Guy hides in the garbage can and is taken to the dump in a garbage truck. Buzz arrives at the dump and discovers to his dismay that all the flies—not just Fly Guy—can say his name. When he calls out "Do I spy Fly Guy?," one fly hits him on the nose and another bites his hand. How will Buzz find his beloved pet among the zillion flies? Luckily, he remembers that they are playing a game and yells, "I give up. You win." Fly Guy, perched on the bill of Buzz's cap, responds proudly, "BUZZZ LOOZZZ!" Skip Hinnant narrates this jaunty adventure for beginning readers. Upbeat background music reflects the action and populates the dump with a horde of flies. Featuring optional page-turn signals, this well-paced recording will have youngsters asking for other books in the series.—"Mary Jean Smith, Southside Elementary School, Lebanon, TN"
